IIM Bodh Gaya, established in 2015, is the 16th IIM, formerly mentored by IIM Calcutta. The institute was proposed under the union budget 2014-2015 by the then Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley. IIM-BG creates a favourable environment for students to grow in all aspects. The institute provides global exposure to the students promoting qualities that allows comprehensive growth of students. The institute values students’ progress and development, which is essential for a course like MBA.

IIM-BG follows the same pedagogy as IIM Calcutta as it was the previous mentor of the institute.

To provide students with international exposure, the institute offers exchange programmes with collaborating institutions in France, Venezuela, Russia, Mexico, Italy, and South Korea. This exchange programme trains students effectively in a broader and better view of strategic development in an era of rapid changes in socio-economical as well as technological environments. IIM Bodh Gaya has collaborated with EADA Business School Barcelona, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, IBS-Moscow, ESDES Lyon Business School, University of Florence, National Cheng Kung University, International School of Management (ISM), Germany, etc.
IIM Bodh Gaya campus
IIM-BG campus is temporarily functioning from Magadh University’s Institute of Distance Education building. Its own campus is under construction which is spread over 118 acres. The campus offers premier education facilities and student clubs, improving students’ overall learning. Students at IIM Bodh Gaya have access to a fully automated e-library with over 1.5 lakh books, 15,000 journals, 5,000 magazines, 150000+e-books,15000+ e-journals, 7000+ e-magazines, and 3000+ e-news papers. Even though the permanent campus is under construction, the hostels have all the required facilities to satisfy the students.
MBA Entrance Exam
Candidates wishing to pursue MBA from the best management schools are required to appear for MBA entrance exams. There are many MBA entrance exams conducted by different institutes. The selection criteria depend on the institute a candidate applies for. CAT, or Common Admission Test, is one of such exams conducted by IIMs for MBA. Candidates are encouraged to take other MBA entrance exam in India, such as XAT, MAT, SNAP, MH-CET, to diversify their ideas and thereby increase their chances of selection in other B-schools.
